He was born in Lugano, Swiss.
At the age of nine he began playing the euphonium in the local school.
In 1989, he studied trombone in Milano.
1st. prize abs. at the Young Instrumentalist Competition.
1st. prize abs. at the International Competition of music -Stresa (I).
He was called to work, as 1st. trombone, together at the:
Interregionalen Jugend Musik-Festival Orchester (D), Symphony Orchestra "G. Cantelli" di Milano, San Remo Symphony Orchestra, Milano Symphony Orchestra "G. Verdi",
European Sinfonietta in London (GB) and many more.
High school graduate at the Conservatory "A. Boito" in Parma (I).
At the International Academy of Music "L. Perosi" Biella (I) obtaining the bachelor in trombone.
Masterclass with Steven Mead, Jonas Bylund, Michel Becquet, and Christian.
He studied composition and orchestra conduct.
He play as soloist and conductor in concerts, recordings, Festival with artists such as:
- Hardenberger, V. Globokar, F. Scheuerer, G. Scheuerer, R. Chailly, D. Renzetti, M. Mueller, S. Mead, D. Bruchez, j. Mauger, A. Francis, Christian Lindberg, etc.
Since 2007 A. Benazzo playes his trombone & mounthpiece model and a copy (by Ewald Meinl) of sackbut Erasmus Schnitzer Norimberg 1551.
Alessandro lives on the lake of Lugano with his wife Elisa and sons Simone, Andrea and Rachele.
